Hölderlin Birthday

Dear friends, guests and readers,

we would like to refer and invite you to different points of the program during the period of the exhibition Mυθοποίηση – Tempel auf Zeit in the Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße. Please note that the program will in German language.

Already this Saturday, at 4 pm, we invite you to an act of actively pursued mythopoetry. The first SPRECHSTUNDE of the wandering hermit and performance artist GABRIEL. An experimental space, a revelation, an introduction to a new body of work and, as he writes below:

"an evening walk."

He has released so-called Automatics (note JMHS: a kind of automatic voice recording), so that we can get a first image of what might happen

On Saturday, March 14, the philosopher Reinhard Knodt invites to the Berlin Philoquium Gott lacht. Der geheime Polytheismus unserer Zeit (God laughs. About the secret polytheism of our time) for the first time. Let us laugh with him! Registration is requested.

And on Friday evening, 20 March 2020, we would like to invite you to come together at the Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße for a joint celebration. The occasion is the 250th birthday of young Friedrich Hölderlin.

SPRECHSTUNDE/CONSULTATION

29 February 2020, Saturday, 4 pm

Could a telephone conversation be informative, recreative, cognitive, impulsive, congruent, unexpected, even magical in the same sense?

Are we able to correspond with each other in a daring and honest way in today's world?

I invite you to CONSULTATION, for an 'evening walk'.
Nature knows no boundaries.
"Speak or listen."
Both at the same time makes the conversation fade.
All your questions are the heirs to the grey earth.
This heir is the harvest before I am reduced to ashes.

CONSULTATION: In 60 minutes, we, GABRIEL and Edwin William Moes, will provide you with clarity about us and our common work.

The conversation will be in German.

Add to calendar.

7th February 2020

Dear friends,

The new Thesaurós Room in Berlin will open its doors with the exhibition Tempel auf Zeit (temporary temple / temple on time) on Sunday 16 February at four o'clock. Come in large numbers and bring friends!

Passages from the text of the exhibition by JMH Schindele:

II

The search for merging horizons

Tempel auf Zeit is the beginning of a series of about ten episodes of art exhibitions that are complemented by essayistic, poeticising and commenting means.

This temple is concerned with the interplay of myth and poetry. As a life-shaping force and ground plan of human existence, this interplay is at the centre of an organic programme of conversations and birthday celebrations and comes across us in ten works of art.

These are from:

El Arbi Bouqdib ARCHIVE, arranged and romanticised by Elshan GhasimiMichal Martychowiec and JMH Schindele.

GABRIEL, in collaboration with Stefan HähnelLaura Fociños Mantecón and JMH Schindele.

(The soldier who doesn't fight a war to lead)

“... like the map of Europe and the Fertile Crescent. On it we see the trace of the slowly becoming endeavour
and artistic work of the wandering hermit Edwin William Moes and his figure GABRIEL. ”

“… an object from the estate of the Arab biochemist and mystic El Arbi Bouqdib in a display case.
Rosicrucian Ephemeris 1900-2000, a book, the star constellations of the past century,
opened on the supposed month of Bouqdib's birth: April 1947.

The composer and Tar virtuoso Elshan Ghasimi has musically arranged it in 2018.
But what is it, to which sphere does it belong?“

New Exhibition Space in Berlin Charlottenburg

New Exhibition Space in Berlin Charlottenburg

Bublitz. Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße.

Dear friends,

we are pleased to announce the opening of our new exhibition location in Berlin. Please feel warmly invited to its opening on February 16, 2020.

The exhibition space Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße. will be the junction between the work of the artist group Thesaurós and the narrative interest of the curator JMH Schindele.

In the semi-public space, visitors are invited to view art and cultural history exhibitions. These exhibitions are accompanied by conversations with scholars and researchers, literary and lyrical antics, and other events that promote sociability and serendipity.

Bublitz will tell here coherent and evolving stories that result from the work of the Thesaurós group in dialogue with cultural-historical objects and works by other artists. Their focal point is the examination of history and the presence of different mythopoetic artistic processes.

The premises of Thesaurós. Uhlandstraße. are architecturally connected to the Chinese tea house Jiang. The conversation program is designed in collaboration with the philosopher Reinhard Knodt.

Michal Martychowiec - All is history

The artwork All is history by Michal Martychowiec can be read as a preamble for the exhibitions of 2020.
If you venture further, you might see a sparkling guiding star or as a simple,
yet fertile imagination about the human condition.
